What is Metamorphosis?
Metamorphosis is a self-healing concept that has no emphasis on technique.
It is a metaphysical healing perspective where healing is in the hands of the client.
This concept is based on the work of Robert St. John and looks at the psychological aspect of the Spinal Reflex
(as described in the theories of Reflexology).
It is an understanding of the way we develop attitudes of mind during the gestation period,
from conception and throughout the nine months spent in the womb as reflected along the Spinal Reflex.
Attitudes of mind formed at conception or even before could be compounded during pregnancy, affecting belief systems that shape the life postpartum.
Metamorphosis is a gentle approach to self-healing and personal development;
a means of revisiting the time when the attitudes of mind were established,
allowing a person to transform and move past limiting patterns.

Metamorphosis can be used by anyone, it is not restricted to natural therapy practitioners. Anyone who has an interest in self-healing can study Metamorphosis.
Metamorphosis and Reflexology Metamorphosis works the Spinal Reflex, it therefore blends very well into the practice of Reflexology. Reflexology Practitioners benefit from the study of Metamorphosis as they already understand the Spinal Reflex and the value of including a self-healing aspect to enhance their therapy session. |
What is the difference between Metamorphosis and The Metamorphic Technique?
Both are based on the work of Robert St. John. They are essentially following 2 streams of thought.
Metamorphosis follows the original work of the founder Robert St.John and
The Metamorphic Technique follows the work of one of Roberts St. John students, Gaston St. Pierre.
Both cover the theory of Pre-natal Therapy but there are some fundamental differences in approach.
